Julie has been with CEL since 2015. She has a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Nazarene College in Massachusetts and a B.A. in Sociology from Plattsburgh State. Julie holds a NYS certification in Early Childhood Education. She lives in Queensbury with her husband and daughter (CEL alumni), and her best furry friend, Addie. Outside of school, Julie enjoys reading, watching sports, spending time with family, and at their camp in the Adirondacks. She is also a board member with the Warren Washington CARE Center and loves to find ways to give back to the community.
Gina joined CEL in September 2022. She has been working with young children for the last 8 years and enjoys sharing her love of the outdoors and art with them. Gina holds a BA in Exercise Science from Adelphi University. Outside of the classroom, Gina enjoys running, hiking, gardening, and attending her children's many sporting events. She lives in Queensbury with her husband, 3 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and several chickens.
Tina has been at CEL since 2017. She is an artist and enjoys introducing the children to a variety of different artist techniques, tools and materials. Her room is always upbeat and full of song and laughter (and lots of paint)! She lives in Queensbury with her husband and daughter (CEL Alumni). Outside of school Tina enjoys traveling and exploring with her family. Hiking, biking, sewing, gardening, and is always planning her next adventure. She is a former(12yrs.) volunteer for the Girl Scouts of Northeastern NY as well a former CEL board member
Jodie lives in Glens Falls with her husband, her dog (and best friend) Dakota, and two cats. She has two college aged children (both CEL Alumni) living in different parts of NY State. Jodie holds a BA in Communications and English from SUNY Cortland. She has been working with young children for 20 years. Outside school, Jodie enjoys being outside, reading, writing, hiking, and yoga. She is currently working on two different writing projects in the hopes of publication.
Christie has been with CEL since 2008. Prior to becoming a teacher at CEL she was a member of the board. Both of her children are alumni. She has had the privilege of working in all three of the classrooms. Christie earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Syracuse University and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. She resides in Queensbury with her husband and two sons. Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to the ocean and attending sporting events - especially when her children are competing. Christie has loved being a part of the CEL community. She loves getting to know the families and the children. Seeing how the children grow from the first day they walk into the school until the time they stand on the bridge graduating has been truly gratifying.
Kim started at CEL in 2019 after working 10 years as a teacher and then Center Director at a daycare. She has over 25 years of experience working with children. Her love of children started with babysitting her cousins as a young teen. She took Early Childhood Education in High School and has taken a variety of classes and training hours over the years. Kim lives in Queensbury with her husband, three children and 2 dogs. She spends her time outside of school reading, taking walks with her dogs, and crafting.
This was Colleen's first year as a teacher at CEL. Colleen studied social work and psychology at Siena College. She has previously worked at another pre-school and was a nanny for 8 years before having her children Piper (7) and Beau (6), both CEL alumni. Outside of school Colleen loves spending time with her family, cooking, entertaining, reading, and spending time outdoors
